5 Minute Self care Ideas for Busy Women
1. Face mask: My absolute favorite self care activity – a face mask. They are quickest and most satisfying self care thing you can do. All you have to do is wash your face, throw on a mask and do whatever you want for 5-10 minutes. Then wash it off and you are glowing! My favorite masks are charcoal clay masks like this Pacifica Kale Charcoal mask and this Freeman detoxifying mask both under $15. Self care doesn’t have to be expensive. You can even make your own face mask with ingredients you have at home!
2. Do your skin care routine: On a more broad topic, doing your skincare routine in itself is self care. Rather than think of it as a chore, embrace how it makes your skin feel. Wondering where to start? Find inspiration in my favorite minimal skincare routine!
3. Lip scrub: All you need to make a homemade lip scrub is coconut oil and sugar! I like to add a little bit of vanilla extract as well because I LOVE the smell. This DIY takes less than 5 minutes and will be the perfect exfoliate for dry lips.
4. Hair oiling: Applying oil to your hair and messaging it into your scalp will be a game changer when it comes to your hair health. There are so many different options for oil you can use including jojoba, argan, rosemary, and coconut, each providing slightly different hair benefits.
5. Apply a hair mask: Leave your hair feeling nourished, shiny and healthy with a 5 minute hair mask. My all time favorite hair mask is Raw Sugar Healing Power hair mask. Mix that with the raw sugar moisturizing shampoo and condition and your hair will be feeling amazing! All you have to do is apply a generous amount of the hair mask on after you shampoo and leave it on for 5 minutes. Rinse and enjoy!
6. Drink lemon water: Sipping on lemon water is a fantastic self care habit as it not only hydrates your body but also provides a refreshing boost of vitamin C, supports digestion, and helps detoxify your system, promoting overall well-being in just a few sips.
7. Make a cup of tea: Tea makes for the perfect moment of tranquility and peace. The herbal blend nourishes the body and soul to promote relaxation and mindfulness while cleaning your gut. I love to drink it at night after dinner or during my morning routine to start the day.
